Supporting Women’s Sport: Backing Elana Keita and Coventry Welsh RFC

We’re proud to continue our commitment to women’s sport through our sponsorship of Coventry Welsh Rugby Club for the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons — and even prouder to support one of our own, Elana Keita, as she takes to the pitch in the second row this year.

Founded in 1925, Coventry Welsh is a club with a proud heritage and a deep connection to its community. Since relocating to Coventry, Elana has not only embraced the city but found her place in a team that shares her passion, values, and competitive spirit.

As an organisation, we believe in supporting our team both professionally and personally. Elana’s achievement is a testament to resilience, drive, and the importance of backing talent wherever it shines. Her involvement in women’s rugby reflects the growing momentum in the sport, and we are proud to play a role — however small — in helping break down barriers and create opportunities.

Coventry Welsh is known for fostering talent, building camaraderie, and championing rugby at all levels — and Elana embodies all of these qualities. We’re excited to see what she’ll accomplish in the seasons ahead.

Here’s to Elana, and to the continued growth of women’s sport — on and off the field.

Community Bench

The Friendship Bench – A Gift of Connection

KBH Haus proudly supported William Tyndale Primary School, Islington with the donation of a Friendship Bench a colourful and inviting space designed to encourage kindness and connection among students.

More than a seat, the bench became a quiet way for children to signal they’d like a friend to talk to, helping foster inclusion and community spirit on the playground.
Installed as part of our commitment to nurturing supportive spaces, the bench was auctioned during Quiz Night to support the school’s fundraising efforts.

Donated by KBH Haus. Building spaces that bring people together.

Peabody Community Day, Laindon

KBH Haus was proud to take part in the recent Peabody Community Day at the King Edward Community Centre in Laindon. It was a pleasure connecting with local residents, listening to valuable feedback, and lending a helping hand by providing a skip for the removal of bulky furniture and household items.

No community event is complete without great conversation and refreshments—so we made sure to bring along plenty of tea and our signature KBH cupcakes, which proved to be a real crowd-pleaser!

We’re committed to supporting local communities and look forward to many more opportunities to engage and grow together.

St Mungo's Birkenhead Street

Our Contract Manager Ben and Contract Supervisor Matt, volunteered two days of their time at @stmungos Birkenhead Street Hostel, London. KBH Haus provided all materials needed.

The hostel supports single people experiencing homelessness, including those who have been sleeping rough and are living with additional needs such as mental health challenges, substance use issues, or a history of offending.

Ben and Matt spent their time painting the hostel’s reception area, helping to create a warmer and more welcoming entrance for residents and visitors alike. We’re proud to support the important work St Mungo’s does in helping people rebuild their lives.

Pembury Elder’s Christmas Lunch

On Wednesday, 27th November 2024, KBH was proud to support the Pembury Elder’s Christmas Lunch, held at the Pembury Community Centre, Hackney. This wonderful event brought together local elders for a festive day of hot Christmas dinner, entertainment and community spirit.

Our team gave their time to set up the lunch, serve meals to the guests, and ensure everything ran smoothly by assisting with the cleanup. We were also delighted to host the raffle and provide gifts to make the celebration even more special.

It was a privilege to be part of such a meaningful occasion and contribute to creating a warm, joyful experience for the local community.

Together, we celebrate the power of connection and the importance of giving back
